Skippers Art Sleuth Program

This program provides teachers and students with in-school access to visiting artists. It aims to better utilise artists’ time during exhibition-related visits to Hervey Bay by broadening their involvement with the community beyond floor talks held in the gallery. The program recognises the expertise of visiting artists and the benefits to students and teachers of being able to tap into that knowledge and art-making experience. 

Opportunities for artist's visits are promoted through the gallery's school e-newsletter, sent out via email each term, as well as via special mailouts and through the ANTs (Arts Networking for Teachers) get-togethers. Alternatively, teachers are welcome to contact Hervey Bay Regional Gallery to link up with an artist within our Fraser Coast community.
