| Support Funding & Grants Regional Arts Development Fund The RADF Program, established in 1991, is a highly successful state and local government partnership that supports professional artists and arts practitioners living in regional Queensland. The program focuses on the development of quality art and arts practice for, and with, regional communities. The RADF Program’s key stakeholders are the Queensland Government Department of Education, Training and the Arts, through Arts Queensland, and the local councils, in our region the Fraser Coast Regional Council, that participate in the program. These stakeholders support arts and cultural development, RADF committees, regional and remote communities and their arts and cultural workers. Funding is provided annually by Arts Queensland and managed through the Fraser Coast Regional Council which also provides a percentage of funding to the program. Applications can be accessed on-line at http://www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/community/Grants.shtml or through the council’s cultural services office at 161 Old Maryborough Road, Pialba (in the library complex). Copies of the application are also provided at libraries and other community centres throughout the region. Assistance in completing applications can be provided by council’s Art and Cultural Development Officer Trevor Spohr (telephone 4190 5790) Completed applications can be posted to Trevor Spohr, Cultural Services, PO Box 1943, Hervey Bay, Qld 4655 or hand delivered to the cultural services office or to any of the main council customer service centres. Applications are then forwarded to the RADF committee for assessment and approval. The committee is made up of members of the community, who provide a balanced representation with regard to both art forms and geographic distribution. Two funding rounds will be offered each year, the first in the first quarter of the year.
